I'm wondering what kind of air filter is effective for viruses because when I was looking to buy one for the day when my son could go back to school, I was completely lost. As you mentioned in your report for my son's paediatrician, I'm going to ask him to prescribe paxlovid in case of reinfection, but I'm not sure whether this will be accepted in Belgium. In fact, I have been on COVID long for four years and the doctors have always told me that antivirals were reserved for severely immunocompromised people and I have never been able to benefit from them. 😞
Another paediatrician also recommended that if you have an infection, you should really take the time to rest as much as possible during the acute phase to optimise your chances of not relapsing.
In any case, this is a video to show to doctors to make them aware of this reality. As you said in a previous post, we need a paradigm shift in the treatment of viral infections that are not fatal but can induce long-term symptoms...
That was interesting, particularly potential effects of vaccinations in long covid patients. I doubt that reworsening of my daughter's symptoms with tachicardia, fatigue and most of all cognitive impairment, was triggered by my own covid infection passed to her in early November ( but she always proved negative at Covid tests in that period) or by the mRNA vaccination she got (Pfizer). Where can protein-based vaccination be found? Public Health system only makes the standard mRNA vaccinations available....
If repurposed drugs such as metformin and rapamycin are on the radar for your LC patients, based on our experience with inpatients and outpatients with acute and advanced COVID-19 victims with over 2,000 prescriptions in the past 5 yrs as well as our own data collections, however "unofficial trials", it is our opinion that other novel therapies are justified. Our basic science collaborators have demonstrated that immune modulation of critical a7acetylcholine receptors is critical based on the clinical experiences we have seen thru all variants. Since there is increasing evidence that LC is also an immune based illness then immune modulators coupled with a7 enablers/agonists has great potential snd very low risk for prescribing. HydroxyUREA and Rivastigmine protocols have shown benefits in both disorders as well as others involving these receptors. It is a serious omission not to pursue these basic science and pharmacological dynamics. The combination is unique but our evidence demonstrates that they honor the dictum "primum non nocere" as Dr Buonsenso emphasizes. These 2 drugs are available, inexpensive and safe. Why not use them in both settings??? This is a hopeful option. Ignoring these clinical experiences without critical analysis is anti-science. MD
Thank you so much! This is what happened to my daughter. First covid infection was mild, second was severe and now - after third infection - she has been knocked down, can’t do anything. So happy that you take care of these patients and that you are sharing your knowledge on this topic!
Many thanks. This has been our exact experience with our two sons over the last five years. Thank you for everything you are doing. For all of us, it has been a lonely journey.
Thanks for this video,

well that is not much evidence of comparisons, starting with one would be a great start
Bravo dottore confidiamo in lei !!!
